On 25 September 2025, Spacely AI had the opportunity to join dwp Bangkok Studio’s industry panel event on the future of the workplace. Hosted at their Bangkok studio, the event brought together leaders across design, development, and technology to explore how AI is reshaping the workplace.

For us at Spacely AI, the theme “Beyond the Desk: Human-Centric Workplaces at AI Speed” couldn’t be more relevant.

AI as an Enabler, Not a Replacement

When it comes to workplace design, AI often gets framed around replacement — replacing designers, replacing processes. At Spacely AI, we see it differently. AI is an enabler:

  • It speeds up design workflows, turning what used to take weeks into minutes.
  • It empowers designers and developers to focus less on repetitive tasks and more on creativity, culture, and strategy.
  • It helps visualize possibilities faster, but it cannot define the human experience of a space.

Experience as the New ROI

The workplace is no longer measured in square meters of desks. Today, the true measure is experience — how a space supports belonging, collaboration, and engagement.

For Spacely AI, this shift is personal. When our own team relocated offices, we weren’t looking for more desks. We were looking for flexibility, collaboration areas, and an environment where people want to come in. AI played a role in helping us understand those needs and visualize solutions quickly.

Balancing Priorities at AI Speed

One of the key reflections from the panel was the balance between commercial priorities and tenant needs. For developers and asset owners, efficiency and ROI matter. For tenants and employees, culture, wellbeing, and connection are just as critical.

AI enables us to address both. By generating faster, smarter design options, it allows developers to optimize costs while also creating spaces that feel human-centric and future-ready.
